Background:

Born to a family with a rich history of service to the Empire, Rovan was expected to go into the Romulan Star Navy upon adulthood. He found, however, that his talents lay elsewhere, in diplomacy. Much to the disappointment of his parents, Rovan enrolled at the university of T'mel, majoring in xenodiplomacy. He graduated at the top of his class, heading towards a brilliant career as a rising star in the Romulan Diplomatic Corps. He quickly rose through the ranks, his supportive wife Mee'ra at his side, until he was one of the most well-respected diplomats on Romulus. Upon learning of the Galactic Empire from a trusted aid, he set out at once...

Character Notes:

Rovan is a very intelligent and driven man. His parents' disappointment at his choice of careers has always bothered him on a subconcious level, and he constantly strives to bigger and better things, in large part to impress his parents. He has few distractions from his life as a diplomat, chief among those being his wife and thier pet Nei'rrh bird, Spi'ike. Due to his longstanding belief that Romulans are superior to all other species, Rovan grew up with an attitude of apathy toward all races aside from his own. Although as a diplomat Rovan prefers to use nonviolent tactics when possible to avoid risking the Romulan military, he has no beliefs that make him feel outsiders should be spared a death penalty in the event that he feels they have committed a crime against or prevent a threat to the Romulan Star Empire. Above all else Rovan desires to make the Romulan Star Empire into a strong galactic power that is capable of serving as a launching pad for his own personal ambitions.
